To start with, I need to say that it's a Dakota I'm working on. From
there the fans are from Flexalite, the model is a bit confusing, the box
says in bold letters "M210/220" and below that in smaller text it says
"230/240pusher", and they are from Summit.Price was about 230.00 They
are wired to the 12v access under the hood where the fuse panel is
located and they continue to run after shut down, until the adjustable
cut off point has been reached. The fans are mounted side by side in
their shroud. The hook-up was per instructions except I didn't hook up
the A/C relay as the thermostat is comeing on at about 160 anyway, and
I'm not real sure about the wireing (the instructions are vague at
best). Alan.

Did you hook these up so they are on all the time the ignition is on? If
they are thermostat controlled, how did you accomplish this hook up? What is
the manufacturer and Part Number information??

Subject: DML: electric fan setup
Here's how things want for me in my fan conversion. My first attempt was
a failure due to the fact there is NO room between the grille and the
condenser. I tried a slimline 12 and the hood would not clear even with
the seal removed from the fan housing And just for the heck of it, I
even removed the bracket that holds the grille to the hood and it still
wouldn't fit. My intention was to use a 12" pusher there and a 16"
puller inside. I ended up useing a 2-12" puller setup and with a little
modification to the seal and a home made bracket (useing the top 2 stock
mounting locations) I was soon in business. Honestly though, it still
won't keep up on 100degree A/Cdays. It doesn't get over 200 though and
doesn't seem to affect performance at that temp. All in all it's worth
it because the free horsepower is definately noticeable throughout the
rpm range. Hope this will help. Alan.
