I recently purchased some Weld Wheels for my Dak, they were 17X8 with a 6"
backspace. They are even with the wheel wells and they do not rub from lock
to lock. The problem I ran into while trying to get rims was that no one
kept that size, with that much back spacing and the oddball bolt pattern in
stock. I had to wait one month for my wheels to get here, although I
ordered through a mail order company and they did the wheel and tire package
for me. The tire size I used is the 255/50/ZR/17 BF Goodrich ZR4, they are
within a 1/4 of an inch of the height of the old factory inslictas. The
truck has been lowered 2" and 3", this wheel and tire size compliment it
well. I will try and some pics out on the web soon.... I have noticed that
the aftermarket industry has not greeted the Dakotas with open arms. Am I
dreaming this or has anyone else noticed this?
