You mention it's gotten pretty cold... was the tank low on fuel when it
got cold outside? During the winter months I try not to let the tank get
to far below 1/2 full. I'm told letting the tank run too low in the winter
can cause all kinds of fuel feed/water in the fuel line problems. I'm
assuming your dak is relatively new so it's probably not a fuel pump/filter
problem.
Maybe somebody knows of a treatment (dry gas?) that you can throw in the
tank to get it to the dealer.
My '98 V8 idles around 600 RPM when up to temp... 1k sounds awful high to
me if it's up to operating temp.
