Gary,
its going in a 74 Jensen interceptor behind a stroked 440. HPM has done an
article on this swap using a built 518. Im assuming the 46 is a little
beefier than the 518. I already have access to the tranny (low miles
too)... Hoping Level 10 or transgo full beef kit will make it last...

I haven't changed mine yet, @ 36,000 miles... still looks good, but I'm
preparing to do it (for the filter & band adjustment) and I've got
considerably more weight to haul around than you...

May I suggest starting with the 47RH/E that's behind the V10/Diesel?
I think this would be better matched to big block torque... but if you're
racing, beefing the 46 might result in a little better ET... like using the
904 in the old days. But if you're towing....
