Boog - you have got it exactly backwards. For a 2.74 first gear, the engine
turns 2.74 times for each driveshaft revolution, and with a 3.55 rearend, the
driveshaft turns 3.55 times for every axle revolution. The only time that the
driveshaft is turning faster than the engine is when the trans is in O/D -
with a 0.69 ratio. This means that for every 0.69 of an engine's rotation,
the driveshaft turns exactly one time.
