Yeah, it's a BIG state. 60" rain /year in the east (Pineywoods) and <10"
rain /year in the west (desert). I think our area (Abilene) is the only
part of the state that didn't get rain last year
btw, Abilene is just north of the geographic center of Texas (and 3 hours
west of Dallas!).
