This is in response to the Cruise problem only. I had a similar situation
with my '92 Dakota. It kept getting worse, and would not hold speed, and
eventually, the cruise quit altogether. The fix was to replace the speed
sensor (mounted on the side of the transmission). This cured the problem
instantly. (about $40).
