18.0s??? I'll race ya on my 'blades!! =) Don't feel too bad, there's a
fullsize Ford F-150 SuperCab that runs 18.0's with a 302 or 351 auto at my
track (he's Street Money champ, too...always runs .001-.02 off his dial!! -
lost to him many times....not cause of ET, though).
Uh oh....sounds like it's time for an eight!! Get rid of that six

Seriously though, it sounds like tranny trouble Mike...Either the torque
convertor stays permanently locked up, sucking the power out of the engine,
or the tranny is starting to slip and show it's age, and thereby sucks the
power out of the engine....time for a rebuild.... One way or another, it's
most likely Mr. A-500's fault....Maybe it needs some Viagra...or a new TC
lockup valve modulator thing-a-majig......
