Hi, all. I've been reading the threads about Rockford speakers and
Geoffreys Focals. I can say that if I had the cash, I'd buy Focals.
They really are a great speaker, and are very well respected for being
such. The top ones are like $1100 for a 6 inch component set in
Canada, so needless to say, they are big bucks that I don't have. I
have been a big Rockford fan since 1991 when I entered my first IASCA
show at age 16. Used it ever since. In 1997, at my Avenger ES debut
show, I took first in my class, Pro 151-300 watt and Best Sound
Quality, Pro Class. Very proud day. And that was competing against
veteran World Finals competitors. I was happy. After that, I took 2
seconds in my class in Canada, and Washington. I use Rockford amps,
and speakers, Alpine CD, and Coustic crossover. The Rockford is really
good stuff, and the name is big. I'll be using the Fanatic Q tweeters
along with a B&W home 7" mid-bass in my kick panels. As well, two
Rockford Punch XLC 15" subs are going into the side panels. All this
is powered by Rockford Punch 4080, 40i, and 100ix. The amps are 4
years old and never had a problem. I strongly recommend it!
