How do you unlock your Torque Converter?

Manually you can't, at least no way I know of, there is no need to. The
torque converter only "locks up" (1:1 ratio, flywheel & transmission input
shaft turning same RPM) when the vehicle is in high gear (overdrive) and at
moderate throttle. If you have an automatic transmission you should have
noticed what feels like an extra shift after high gear, that is when you
converter locks, you'll see your tachometer drop about an additional 200-300
RPM.
