They're not available with stick shifts because the manufacturers haven't
put the time into engineering a manual transmission that can with-stand the
torque. In other words, they're saving on R&D costs as well as warranty
costs. Besides they figure there aren't enough people who just wouldn't
buy the truck if they couldn't have the manual. Most people will settle
for the automatic.
