What you are describing is called sequential turbocharging. It *was* found on
the twin turbo supra and rx-7. It was an attempt at balancing top end power
and low rpm performance. The racers quickly defeated this feature to get max
performance. Two turbos in parallel outperform sequential turbos. Two turbos
outperform 1 turbo(more efficient exhaust set-up and less rotating mass).
