Yikes!
I just got on the hwy and there was a lot of traffic slowing the lane
to merge. The rest of the hwy was at speed, so I pick a good gap and go.
Accelerating hard through 1st it pings a little, 1-2 shift ping, mid
thru top 2nd ping ping, 3rd ping ping PANG! It almost sounded terminal!
I got it home and listened to the idle, blipped it a couple times, still
sounds quiet.
I haven't added gas for a while, so it isn't that. It wasn't hot coolant
wise. It's 60 degrees and clear outside. I checked the intake manifold
gasket, there's pressure instead of vacuum.
I've heard a little jingle every now and then, but nothing like this.
Anyone have this happen before? It's pretty upsetting.
