I didn't know you had to replace the case for a MOPAR LSD... I thought for
sure a LSD could be had in the standard 8 1/4 case. Doesn't the LSD just
replace the thrust washers and sidegears???

Aaron,
The axle you have is called an "Open Case" Differential.
To install "Sure Grip" LSD you need to replace the differential case
with the Dana TracLoc case and change the fluid (Lub).
In Michigan, it costs $437 to make the change including Parts and Labor.
If you are considering doing this, let me know and I will give you the
correct part number for the new case.
