Totally possible. If you change one of the main variables (air & fuel), it
can take up to 70 miles before the computer "adjusts" itself.

The 180 T'Stat won't hurt anything though. (I've had great success with the
JET-II, other have had problems.) The MSD would be a great addition to the
ignition system and YES, it can help with pinging...but again, remember the
variables.
