Chris,

I didn't see anyone reply to this, so I'll ask the obvious question.
Why does he want to lease instead of purchase?

In *most* cases, a lease is not the best choice for the average consumer.
If he plans on using this as part of his business, or is in a job that
provides an automobile allowance, then I can understand.

Also remember, he will be able to do only limited performance mods. if that
is something he might be into. Most dealers get pretty touchy when you bring
a leased vehicle in for service and they see a lot of custom or performance
mods. Additionally, he'll have to return the vehicle to stock before lease
end, or possibly be looking at some stiff end of lease charges.

You've talked him out of the S10 error, unless his situation really warrants
a lease, do him a favor and talk him out of that too.
