On April 25, without the headers, launching at 1500 rpm and then squeezing the
pedal to the floor, I got a personal best result of 15.672 sec. and 86.44 mph.
This was used as my baseline. From time trials, I found that this launch
technique gave me the most consistent launches without wheel spin.

On May 15, with the headers (less than 100 miles on them), launching just
below 1800 rpm and then stomping the pedal to the metal, my best result was
15.488 sec. and 86.73 mph. As I previously wrote, I felt that I had lost
some low end torque with the headers but did not know how much. I had 3 runs
prior to my best result and experimented with my launches in order to
compensate for this loss.

On June 13 and using the same technique as my best result, my trap speed
rose to a best of 87.57 mph. while e.t. was consistently 15.5 - 15.6 sec.
This was on an extremely hot and humid day.

I expect that my launch technique will again be altered after I install the
MP cam
(waiting for valve springs), MP rockers and F&B Stage 2 TB (waiting for
production and
delivery) and find out how each affects the power band. Hopefully,
I'll reach my goal of 14.9 or better sec. and 90 or better mph.
