I just heard yesterday that Kenne Bell makes a cold air induction kit for
199.99, so I ordered one from Truck Performance (www.truckperformance.com).
They are not on back order, but soon will be. The people at truck
performance feel like this is a better product because it is completely
isolated from the engine unlike Gen II and Mopar cold air and is less
expensive. The concept is the same except it is a complete box heat shield
that hooks up to the air duct on the inside of the fender. I dont think that
will make a significant difference, but it is the lowest price cold air
intake system I have seen anybody talking about yet. I already know that one
person has purchased and installed one. His claims amounted to what other
people have claimed about their new systems. Maybe the Kenne Bell won't
whistle or rub??
BTW, for what it is worth KB claims dynoed an additional 8rwhp.
