FWIW. I was told not to mount it in the same side as the radio antenna due to
interference probs... Don't know if that was true or not but I put mine on the
drivers side just in case. I think the hood mount setup looks good and is nice
and strong.

Just to let the fellow DML fourwheelers and other who use CBs, that my order
came in from Firestik. First off, let me say how impressed I am with the
quality of the Firestik products I just recieved. I orded a medium duty
stainless steel spring, quick disconnect, Firestik FS II Series Antenna(2 foot
black with red tipe), the Adjustable Hood Channel Stainless Steel Mounting
Kit, and other small goodies. Great products, especially the construction of
the adj. channel mount!!!!

I plan on mounting the antenna mount/antenna on the the passenger's side of
the truck, in the hood channel' it fits and looks great in there!! I will
mount it up later this week, tune it up with my new SWR meter, and report to
all how I like it. Before this, I ran dual 48" fiberglass antennas on my tool
box, and clearance just become a
problem and hassle. With the Firestik steup, the antenna will just be about
2-3 taller than the AM/FM antenna; just what I want!
Check out their prodcuts: http://www.firestik.com/
