They tried those photo-radar cameras here in Ontario, Canada. They used them
for a while, made lots of money off of them, and then cancelled the idea.
Here in Ontario, it was a fine only....no points were taken. As far as i
know, these cameras work in conjunction with a conventional radar gun.
Important to keep in mind that there are other technologies out there other
than radar for detecting speed, such as Laser, and Stalker is another I
believe. These different methods of detecting speed might be used on these
Photo radar units. Coming from a place where radar detectors are illegal, I
am not sure if there are jammers for laser and Stalker.

BTW I am a new member to the Dakota Mailing List, and I have enjoyed reading
the e-mails that are posted to the list! I am a brand new Dakota owner, so
new in fact, that I don't even have my truck yet! I've ordered a 2000
Dakota, CC, 4X4, Intense Blue, 3.9L V6 and I am anxiously awaiting its
arrival! However it is not due to show up here for another 4-6 weeks!
However I am sure it will be worth the wait!

I would think a ski mask and a 12-gauge at close range would work pretty
well on those cameras :)

FWIW, I've heard those cameras are pretty easy to fight in court. Suppose
it wasn't you driving the car, etc. (why get points on your insurance if
your family/relatives/friends were speeding with your car??)? Lotsa
vehicles have more than one driver. What about fleet vehicles, company
vehicles, etc. etc.......?
