I gave up on trying to keep it perfect a LONG time ago. Keep a good
wash/polish/wax job on it and from a distance (20 feet or more) it'll
look sweet even with some slight scratches. Up close, yes, I can see
swirl marks and other associated fine stratches on the surface, and I've
got some door dings (damn inconsiderate people in the parking lot).

Keeping any car "clean" is an absolute impossibility in Central NY from
October to May. I don't even bother trying, to be honest. Probably the
first weekend in May I'll head home to visit my parents to use their
facilities (I have no way to hook up a hose here) and
wash/polish/wax/detail the whole thing top to bottom.

Unless the truck is within a 3-hour drive of Albany, NY, there's no
chance my brother would be able to even look at it.
