Spiders.. LOL. You mean those aren't supposed to come out with the fluid??
  Yes. the spiders are a major weak link.

If he really does lots of track time with it.. a spool may be an even more
durable route than a locker or LS unit.. and his rear end should be able to
be build to handle anything he wants to throw at it.
