A/C switch (by-pass)

I seen this on here before but I can't find it now that I'm looking for it in
the archives. In order to put a switch to by pass the A/C compreser is more
then just a switch. It had somthing to do with telling (fooling) the main
computer that the compreser was by-passed or somthing like that. This is so
the deforster can run with out the A/C. Anyone remember this now that the
colder weather is here?

Thanks,
