Well, if you follow the owners manual, allow of those are abnormal
conditions. You don't drive around town on dry pavement in 4 wheel drive,
you don't drive around with your parking brake on, and you normally don't
drive around with your cruise control on, or your hi temp light on. So
therefor, why would you drive around with the od off light one, same idea,
in fact the owners manual says so.
As a result.. I'm just speculating here. If you always drive around with
the od off and burn up a transmission, and bring it to the dealer, with od
still off.. I'm guessing that they won't cover it, they can tell during
tear down that it's never been used.
