late season test-n-tune @ Cecil pays off

The conditions were great with low humidity, a good barometer reading and
VERY cool air. The only part that wasn't so great was a 10 m.p.h. or so (at
most) cross breeze which probably affected the E.T. very little, if any.
There were probably only a total of less than fifty vehicles racing which
made for practically no wait at all in the staging lanes.

Out of a total of nine passes, all but two of my runs were made with a short
belt in place. In sequential order they go: 1. 13.981 @ 95.89 (1.945 60')
                 2. 13.952 @ 96.14 (1.960 60')
                 3. no 1/4 mi.E.T or MPH given, but went 8.84 @ 77.26 in
the 1/8

                                                   (1.940 60')
                 4. 13.908 @ 96.18 (1.927 60')
                 5. 14.016 @ 95.77 (1.989 60') definitely heard and felt
wheelspin on this one
                 6. 13.945 @ 95.69 (1.926 60')
                 7. 13.923 @ 96.18 (1.922 60')

At this point I'm running out of time because the track will be closing in
about an hour and a half and I'd love to go home with a 13.8 something
timeslip. So.... the serpentine belt is now completely taken off.
  8. 13.830 @ 96.40 (1.905 60')
  9. 13.819 @ 96.43 (1.897 60')

The one thing that is very peculiar to me is my MPHs. I gained on average .5
MPH in the 1/8 mi., but in the 1/4 mi. MPH I lost on average about .5 MPH.
Guess maybe that huge tailwind I had on Oct. 29 when it went a best of 13.984
@ 96.91 helped my speed more than I originally thought. Another thing, I
never imagined that I would hook as well as I did considering the cold track
surface/starting line temperature.
