You take all your readings from the initial calibration. Check your swr at
your highest and lowest freq. That would be chan1 and chan 40. This way at
around chan 19 (a popular channel) your swr will be very low.You want to tune
the ant till the swr on chan 1 matches chan 40. I can't remember off the top
of my head which way to tune according to the differences in readings. I
think I may be correct in saying if it is low on Chan 1 and high on Chan 40,
then the ant needs to be lengthed. If it is high on chan 1 and low on chan
40 you need to shorten the ant. Keep adjusting it a little at a time till
you get it just right.
