dropped a lifter into oil pan

Hey Everyone,

I'm doing this cam project and I dropped a lifter into the oil pan, it was
the lifter on the drivers side closest to the firewall. It was sticking and
wouldn't push up so I pushed it down and tried to catch it but it slipped out
of my fingers (must have been covered in oil or something heh eh)

Anyway does anyone know if I can drop the oil pan far enough to reach in
and get it or do I have to remove it? Because (according to the FSM) I have
to unbolt the motor mounts and jack up the motor to remove the pan completely
and I don't want to have to do that. My friend Becca is going to help me on
monday and she has much narrower arms than I do (but much better breasts and
butt, sorry if that offends anyone but it is a compliment after all).
