20 degrees is quite a bit. You shouldn't need more than 8-10 degrees
max.

I have got an M1 2 barrel, taking out 20 degrees of timing, mopar
headers,
running 91 octane here in Cali that is the best we can do! and yes I
know
that this is part of the problem (pinging-wise) but my truck should not
overheat that much!
