I find the comments from the Transmission Shop confusing.

I have a TransGo Shift Kit along with other modifications installed in my
'97 5.2. The installation was at 32,000 miles. I now have 101,000 and
my transmission is in fine shape and will still bark the tires into 2nd gear.

I just recently dropped the pan to change the filter and oil and there is
no problems at all. Also had the tail unit off this fall to replace a spring
clip that had broken. Had the clutches looked at because of the high
mileage. They were still as good as new ones. Replaced nothing.
I do use AMSOIL and a large cooler.

I do not see any evidence that a Shift Kit hurts a transmission.
