Oh beleive me I know what you mean completely. I usualy do all the work on
my vehicals myself. I did the front myself at the hobby shop on base (im in
VA) and it took me all day (I also changed out the balljoints and bushings)
I felt tho in this instance that I could have someone do the back (Hey I did
wait there watching patiently for 4 hours, even asked if I could help lol).
I still take pride in my truck knowing its done and that I didn't put a hole
through my gastank with a grinder or torch ;) Somethings just have to be
done by others, it sux but its a fact. (I wouldn't even attempt boring out
my cylinders even if I know how, and I at least have a clue) I know what you
mean tho, people that take their cars to shops and have them do everything.
Thats cheating, well sort of, and there is really no self satisfaction
there. I spend so much time at my hobby shop I know everyone by first name
and they always want to talk cars/trucks it keeps me from working LOL. But
the fact remains, you got a $500 kit and you want it finished right ? I know
the feeling, mine sat in my closet for 8 months unitll I had all the extra
money saved up that I needed (New shocks, bushings, balljoints, alignment,
tires, wheels, hobby shop fees, rear end fees) then I just took a weekend
and did it. It felt so damn good knowing it was done and done right by me
(ok so I watched the back, but at least I did THAT much). Now I am about 1
of 3 lowered daks in my area (southeast VA), that alone is a good feeling.

OUTTA TOPIC NOW >>>Actually I got a good laugh when doing my truck....there
were 2 guys in the stall next to me that hacked the hell out of the springs
on a bmw, and when they got done and drove out, the springs DEseated LOL.
Wonder if they still got their "I did it myself" pride with out asking first
if it would work !
