I haven't actually replaced my clutch fan with an
electric, but I've been thinking about it. Here's
a website explaining the installation of an electric
fan on a 5.0 rustang. It goes over the different
install kits and building your own. (I couldn't find
any good Dakota pages)

I don't think the fan they use would work on a Dodge.
Some people have used the Flex-A-lite BM150 and the
Perma Cool 16" fan with some success. From most of
the things I have read they seem to work OK but may
have problems in hot weather on a V8. I've just
recenly saw some posts on another forum about the
possibility of using the Viper crate motor electric
fan from Mopar on our Dodges. I'd like to see if that
would work.
