FWIW - My Extang experience:
I purchased mine about 2 years ago from an ebay company, I think it was just
under $200, Black Max snap type.
This year one of the snaps broke - it had rusted! When I called the company
to inquire about purchasing a few so that I would have them on hand, they
told me it was a warranted item and they would ship out about 5 for free,
plus the tool required to install them - free of charge! The tool is a
small item that you snap over the jaws of a pair of vice grips or other
pliers...
I wanted to purchase a bottle of their special tonneau cleaner - no
dice...they would ship me a bottle for free to try out first!

I am very pleased with it. I like the utility, I can roll it up in a couple
of minutes if I need to haul something large. It has the Velcro straps
already.

Regarding MPG. On the interstate I noticed about 2-2.5 better mpg. On
rural roads I couldn't see any difference.

Let me know if you would like the company's name that I purchased from. I
think it retailed for about $250 or so locally when I purchased over the
net.
Cal
