I've heard a bunch of 4.7 owners say they get the same or better mileage as
I do. I attributed it to my Gen II's lack of aerodynamics. My next truck,
if it's a Dak, will have a 4.7/5-speed combo, hopefully will be more
powerful, more fun (always liked manual transmissions), and pick up a mile
per gallon or two to boot :-)
