I've never seen anything mitsu related under the hood of the Daks.. The 2.2
from '87 and the 2.5 from 88-95 was all Ma Mopar, when the Daks came out
Mitsu was supplying Dodge with a 2.6L for the cars, but that never made it's
way to the Daks, only in the D50's.

The '96 motor is the 2.5L from the Jeep Wranglers, they dropped the OHC to
go back to a OHV, I believe the Jeep motor had a better torque curve than
the actual Dodge motor, just not as good of performance as the earlier
motors.
