I know I am stuck on the candle/wax stuff, but hose down that hub with
some brake cleaner and scrub it real good to get all the gook off.
Now rub some wax onto the surface (I mean rub it hard so it really
gets into the pores) and this will help prevent it from happening
again. Or use some good wheel bearing grease. The wheel bearing
grease would probably be better since it will take the high heat
better and be less prone to wash away from the mud and such. It
doesn't take much, just a thin layer is all ya need.
