Also I should add that the reason I said the whole CV axle and not just
a replacement boot, is because once a boot is opened up - it is
subjecting the joint inside to dirt and water and crap from the road.
Its actually less fuss and hassle to bolt out and bolt in a new shaft.
To change a boot requires removal of the axleshaft anyway - and removing
the old boot - plus crimping on the new boot after you manag to slide it
on. DO NOT use Quick Boots or "split boots" unless you positivly have no
other option. They tend not to fit very well and do not last long at
all. They are intended for emergency repairs.

Was it an inner or an outer boot?
