All four of the CC products I have owned since 85 (including my 89 Dakota)
have had problems with warped rotors. In each case I was able to turn them
but they warped again in about the same 20-30k time frame. Once replaced
with after market rotors never had a problem again.

If you do the work yourself the job should be well under $100.00. You can
get name brand (Bendix, Raybestos) pads at auto discount stores for $20-$35,
store brand for under $20.00 (store brands normally come with a lifetime
warranty). The rotors can be turned for about $10 each. If the rotors are
warped real bad and there is not enough material to allow them to be turned
you can pick up new rotors for less than $50 each if you shop around.
