My '91 Dakota ATE brake pads, and 2 sets of rotors... I know what you mean. I
have been VERY lucky with my '95 Dakota...46000 miles and STILL on original
pads/shoes/socks, etc.!! The front end is probably due, but no grooves in
rotors... I plan on just replacing the rotors/pads, because in the past with my '91
once the rotors are turned, they seem to warp VERY quickly...

Here's something to think about: All of my standard transmission vehicles have
gotten 3-4 times the mileage out of brakes/brake components than my automatic
transmission vehicles... If you think about it, when you are using the brakes on
an automatic, you are also fighting the engine/torque converter (a LITTLE I
know..), but with a standard transmission you are either using the trans. as a
brake 'aide', or simply stopping the momentum of the vehicle.... Heck, I just pitch
it sideways in the turns anyway!!! :)

UPDATE: I picked up my truck from the local dealer after the wiper problem was
'fixed'... 2 miles from the dealer I tried the wipers...

"Same PROBLEM!" So once again I must leave my truck at the dealer for
             another day...

In my OPINION the local Dodge Dealer (name withheld) is simply a
parts swapper... without REALLY troubleshooting the actually cause
             of the problem.

As I have learned from a story my Dad told me about his Alliance
(plymouth)... The A/C wouldn't get cold... The dealer replaced:
A/C compressor, regulator, dash control unit, SBEC (or whatever it
is in a 4 cyl car!), evaporator canister, etc... No change...

             It was a FUSE!!!

Best of all, the dealer tried to take back all of the new components!!

HA HA HA.... I don't THINK so!

    (I feel better now!)

....Sam '95 SLT Back to the Dealer AGAIN!
