Magnum Performance Hotline?

Mr. Sean Meldrum,

Thank you for the information on the computer upgrade for my '97 Dakota.
Just what does MPSBEC stand for. I assume it is the new computer.
I was not aware there is a Magnum Performance Hotline. Is this number
available to the public and if so, do you know what the number is? I will be
looking forward to the availability from either JET, Hypertech or Mopar.

I know you are correct concerning 87 octane fuel but I just can't bring
myself
to put it in. I already have the Flowmaster 3" cat/back daul exhaust and the
K&N drop-in filter. Also have 255/70R15's (Cooper). Maybe I'll try the 89
octane midgrade.

Here is some information that may help someone in the List. This will
concern
people that have or are buying a '97 Dakota 4X2 with the Tire & Handling
Package. I don't remember the order code for this but it is listed on my
sticker
for $228. It includes the P235/70R15 Goodyears, Rear Stabilzer Bar and
15X8 Aluminum Wheels.
The Rear Stabilzer Bar is clamped to the rear axle in two places (if I
remember
right). The 1998 Dakota's will have the Stabilzer welded on. The '97
doesn't
because the welding equipment was not installed at the factory. The clamps
look pretty heavyduty but if someone was planning to keep their Dakota for
an extended period of time and mileage it probably is a good idea to have
these clamps welded to the axle. I have done this and it is not expensive
(about $20-25) and doesn't take very long. Any compident welding shop
could do it. The shop that installed my Flowmasters also welded the clamps
for me. Something to consider. I do not know the layout for the Rear Sway
Bar on the 4X4.

I'll be out of town for the Holiday weekend at the Great Lakes Naval Training

Center north of Chicago. Hope everybody and a safe and pleasant Holiday.
