Got a couple three questions I need help with and hope ya'll can help me
out.
1. What's the idle speed of your V6 auto when in drive? Mine idles at
just a fraction above 400 and seems a little rough. Cap, rotor, wires
and plugs just changed in the last 2 months.
2. What color are the exhaust deposits in your tail pipe. Mine's black
and the dealer says that's O.K. I thought that it was susposed to be a
tan color but the dealer tells me that you can't go by that because the
engine is fuel injected and computer controlled. Thought that was funny
'cause my '85 Ford F150 was fuel injected and computer controlled and the
residue was NOT black.
3. My K&N filter element has decreased about 3/8ths inches in diameter.
When I first installed it about 2 years ago, I had to press it down into
the botttom part of the air cleaner and press the top half of the air
cleaner down on the filter (tight fit). Has anyone else had this
problem? I tried to stretch it back out but couldn't.
