Hi all, I am a member of the mopar mailing list and I just subscribed
to the Dakota list. I will send a more formal intro later. I posted
the following list to the mml and figured I might as well pick your
brains too. Thanks in advance! Joe

Subject: 3:92 gear conversion - Dakota

Hi All, Well the dealership agreed to swap my diff. for a sure grip
unit. Now I'm thinking...hmmmm. Since the rear will be apart, maybe I
should trade in my 3.55's for a 3.92. What is involved in
recalibrating the speedometer. (sorry but my FSM hasnt come in yet) Is
it a gear swap in the tranny like on older models, or does it involve
some sort of computer adjustment? Oh yeah, 98 Dakota, 318, auto.
Thanks in advance, Joe
