>Well just got back from Denver and the Truck Fest. Can't believe that they
stick our DAKs up against mini trucks for showing--we need to get our own
catagory. Well on to the story, I ran twice down the strip. My reaction
times weren't too bad for not having run in 20 years.
The first pass was: R/T--.735
1/4mi--17.336 MPH--80.81
2nd pass was:R/T--635
1/4mi--17.360 MPH--78.78
The 2nd pass I lost traction just off the line and I know I could of beat my
first run. Does anybody know what this figures out to at lower altitudes for
1/4 times and MPH?

Tim? or "T & J"?,
Caught only part of the thread but if we're comparing apples to apples, I have
a '98 Dak CC 4x2 5.2 A/T with 3:55 LSD. Otherwise, loaded weighing in at
probably 4,000-4,100 lbs. before I get in it! It was 94 dgrees at 10:30 A.M.
Sunday when I ran at Pomona, CA which is pretty close to sea level. My
reaction was .721. E.T. was 16.477 @ 83.11 mph. Truck has 3" Magnaflow cat
back and a K&N drop in with 7,300 miles on the clock. Are we "apples to
apples"? Hope this helps.
