HI -

First of all , welcome to the DML !!

I have a 1998 R/T Club Cab (http://www.mindspring.com/~hemi/jbd1.html) and
I absolutely LOVE it !!!

There are many R/T owners on the DML , like myself and Bruce Bridges and a
bunch more .

I know that Bruce has run his down the strip on a few occasions and I plan
to run mine soon here at Atlanta Dragway (maybe this Friday night) .

I don't know of anyone here that has used the R/T to do any pulling
(they're too busy racin' em!) but I imagine that it will be hapening soon
enough .

>From what I have heard , the R/T can tow up to 5000 lbs , but whenever I
see a hitch for it , it is usually only rated at 3500 lbs .

We have recentley gone thru a group purchase of things like JBA headers
that will fit the R/T and are supposed to give 17-22HP . We got the
Stainless Steel headers with ceramic coating and shipping for $392.85 !

The normal retail would have been $779 + shipping .

JBA is also telling us that they are working on a set of custom downpipes
just for the R/T , as well as a "Y" pipe for the 5.2 Dak .

They are using Bruce's R/T as a model for the pipes .

That deal ended on 8/31/98 , but if you are interested whenyou get your
trick , I think we will be doing another big buy from them in the future .

We are currently doing a group deal with a company that is selling us the
JET performance module for $204 plus shipping .

Normal retail is $299

JET makes a module specifically for the R/T which is part number 99823S .

I got the module and a 170 degree thermostat for $227.89 total including
shipping and handling .

If I am not mistaken , JET claims like up to 24 HP increase .

At any rate , I think you will be VERY satisfied with your R/T , whatever
you do with it .

And NO , I don't think that Hot Rod's numbers are realistic , especially in
the heat of Dallas , TX .

Now , there is a guy on here that has a regular cab R/T and he ran a
14.something .

That I can believe , but not a Club Cab .

Anyway , hope all this babling helps !
