The temp never rose over the halfway mark on my '88 Dak on that stretch,
thou the pedal was to the metal. Baker, for those non-socal folks is the
home of "The Worlds Tallest Thermometer" and "The Entrance to Death
Valley". Not to mention the starting point for the Baker to Vegas 120 mile
invitational relay race every April.
