Bad fuel pump?

Okay...so I have been having this hot re-start problem on my 92 V8
Dak.....Acts just like vapor lock, and fuel pump wont make that "whirring"
noise it usually does.....Let the truck sit an hour or two, it starts like
magic. Adding 5 gals of gas sometimes helps get it started
quicker.....When it wont start, I have no pressure at the fuel rail test
port....I DO have good voltage at the pump......Regulator seems to test fine.

Does this seem like a bad fuel pump to anyone? Why would it only do it when
the truck is hot? I am getting the $275.00 part tomorrow I think, but still
dont quite get it......But thats all I can figure it could be......Fuel
filter has checked fine and been replaced more than a few times during this
trouble.

HELP!!!!!
