Robert,
I am not sure on the pre-97s, but on my 97 all I did was connect the wire
going to the existing horn to the post on the compressor and ran a ground to
the other compressor post. Then you just need to hook up the horns themselves
using the plastic tubing. You shouldn't need to worry about running a hot
wire or anything else. Try it ...you might save yourself some work.
