FWIW...I had a 1991 blazer 4.3 that still ran good
and used no oil at 450,000 miles.
I had used plain old pennzoil and changed it about
every 10K mi.
The only thing ever replaced on it was a water pump
at 390,000. I even ran a set of plain old champion
plugs in it for 190,000mi.
I think all the fancy schmancy high-tech stuff put out
by all these companies are aimed directly at your pockets,
and nothing else.
Just my opnion...
