It did make a noticeable difference on not only my truck ('97 Dak V6) but
also one of my co-workers as well ('98 Dak V8). I have tried several other
types of spark plugs on the market and wasn't too impressed with the mileage
and performance of the Champions (#4071). You need to run the plugs at
.050" to get the most out of the MSD box and I've found that the Champion's
actually caused worse gas mileage than the Split Fires I run. (Some people
think that Split Fires are just "Hype" plugs...I've had great success with
them for more than 5 years in all the vehicles i've owned...and
repaired/modified.)
I also opted for the MSD Blaster-SS Coil instead of the Accell (or any
other) to keep it a "matched set". It should, however, work for you without
any problems.
