Oops...misread what ya said...my mistake. But...the Jacobs techs did state
that the SplitFire plugs work great with their system..along with other
"Good Name Brand Plugs" as well. (Just NO Platinums)

Their advertising (Brochures) look good...but i'm still a little bit
apprehensive about the whole "Self Adjusting Spark" thing...

(Doubt i'd buy it...just a thought...)

No, I said Jacobs recommended AGAINST Split-Fires. When I got my Energy
Team, I specifically asked about using Split-Fire plugs, and they
specifically said that they did NOT recommend them. That was back in '94,
maybe they've changed their mind since then.......

btw, I would go with MSD over Jacobs - now that I've used both, I prefer
the MSD, even if I have to do more wiring. Jacobs seems to be blowing a lot
of smoke in their advertising.......

The only plugs that MSD (or Jacobs) does not recommend are the
Platinum Plugs (Bosch in particular). I run the SplitFire Platinum's at
.050" without any problems (pinging, misfires, etc.). I've been
contemplating about the Jacobs ProStreet Setup but can't get myself to spend
the $450 for the entire system (it DOES plug directly into the stock system
though...MSD doesn't.) And...you're totally correct...Jacobs technicians
have told me on several occasions that they highly recommend the SplifFire
(Standard) plugs with their systems.
