Ok, I keep hearing that making the truck run cooler (change spark plugs,
thermostat etc) will help the ping. And the fix coming out is retarding the
timing which is suppose to make the truck run cooler. I have talked with my
dealership about doing these things and they are strongly against it. Of
course they really didn't get into why. Right now I'm trying to play the
political game and doing everything they want me to do in hopes I can get my
truck fixed. Anyway, why would they not want me to make the truck cooler?
Emissions related? And lasty, I want to put headers on the truck, will this
in turn make the truck run hotter again?
Thanks again DML
Erika
